Trudi DockDogs AustraliaDockDogs® Inc., the Worldwide Sanctioning body and leader in event production for Canine Water Sports competitions has appointed Trudi van de Wint as the new Manager of Affiliated programs beginning February 1st, 2016.   Trudi van de Wint will be heading up the Sanctioned Facility and Affiliate Club programs across Australia as a part of the DockDogs® expansion program.

Trudi joins the DockDogs® Worldwide Management Team with a plethora of experience. In 2013, she helped start Sydney City DockDogs and she continues to act in the capacity of event manager and certified judge for most events in that region.  She has also been a member of DockDogs Australia for the past three years and recently was instrumental in setting up better communication processes and transitions between the Worldwide and Australia office programs.

Vicki Tighe, Director Of Affiliate Programs Worldwide, is excited about Trudi joining the DockDogs® management team and commented that, “As a result of Trudi’s recent yet overwhelming attachment to canine watersports starting back in 2013 when she helped start the Sydney City DockDogs, she quickly advanced her abilities and skill sets and has been acting in the capacity of event manager and certified judge over the last 2 years.”  Vicki also noted that, “Recently DockDogs® Australia has begun executing an expansion plan and Trudi has been instrumental in assisting with setting up transitions for the growth and expansion between Worldwide and Australia.”

In 2015, Trudi built Central Coast DockDogs® from the ground up; gaining experience in business start-up, permitting, dock construction, pool set up, and pool equipment. As Manager of Affiliated Programs for DockDogs® Australia, Trudi will be heading up the Sanctioned Facility and Affiliate Club programs in the land down under and joins the already growing program being organized and operated under Australia’s very own renowned Dog Trainer, Farmer Dave.

David Graham, more commonly known as “Farmer Dave”, President of DockDogs Australia, stated that, “Trudi will be tasked with working with the existing clubs and sanctioned facilities to incorporate more of the worldwide policies and procedures along with, working diligently to bring on line more affiliate clubs and sanctioned facilities across this great country.  In addition, not only is Trudi looking forward to helping me and DockDogs Australia take the Affiliate Programs to the next level, but she will also be sourcing new venues and hosts for our National event circuit.”

Help The B.A.A.R.K. Foundation Build a Caring Chain

B.A.A.R.K Foundation Logo

We are excited that the 2014 DockDogs® season is underway.  The B.A.A.R.K. Foundation has spent the past few months brainstorming fundraising ideas to introduce & implement this year!  Since the 2nd DockDogs® Regional Championship competition of the year is quickly approaching, we wanted to get the ball rolling with our first fundraiser of the season.

Paper link chainsSince the B.A.A.R.K. Foundation was originally conceived in order to help members of the DockDogs® community in times of need, and the DockDogs® community has been shown overwhelming support from the B.A.A.R.K.Foundation over the years; this year we wanted to really show off how connected we all are and to reinforce that in struggling times and hardships, that you have someone here to lean on.  Or in our case, an entire nationwide community!

For the 2014 season, we want to build a Caring Chain.  Our Caring Chain will represent those we have loved & lost, those we love currently and want to recognize, and those who we wish to send love to overseas.  A custom message can be written on each link, dedicating the link to someone special.  Friends, family, and spectators can purchase a chain link for $1.00 per link and the links will be connected and displayed at that current event.   But that’s not all… At the DockDogs® 2014 World Championship event, we will connect all of the Caring chains we have collected from the various 2014 DockDogs® events and display our Grand Caring Chain proudly, for everyone to see. Proceeds from each link will go to the B.A.R.R.K. Foundation to help DockDogs® members in need.

As a special thanks, the DockDogs® Club that sells the most links this year will be rewarded with their affiliation fees for 2015 paid in full by DockDogs® Worldwide.  So rally your club members and show everyone how much you care about your friends, families and fellow DockDoggers!

Help us build a chain that stretches beyond our imagination, showing those that you love – human and furpanion alike – just how special they are to you, and in doing so you will be supporting the efforts of the B.A.A.R.K. Foundation in its mission to help those in need within the DockDogs® community.

The links are available for clubs to purchase and sell at events, practices or socials at a cost of $1/link, throughout the 2014 DockDogs® Season.  Please contact Teresa from the DockDogs® office at [cryptex][/cryptex] to place your order or for more information.  You can write a check (made out to BAARK Foundation) and mailed to the DockDogs office (5690 Wolff Road Medina, OH 44256) or pay over the phone using a credit card, whichever is easier.  Please get your orders in as soon as possible and no later than 10 working days before your event start so we can get the orders processed.
Links will be sold in bulk and arrive with the DockDogs Admin at your event, if ordering outside of an upcoming event DockDogs will mail the wrist bands to the address provided at time of order.  Please encourage your club members to sell the links.  It may help to have a volunteer head up the operation so that your club members have a go-to person for questions or to obtain more links.  The links and money raised can be turned into 1544476_633729676712067_532350552_nthe DockDogs® administration person at the end of your event and will be forwarded to the B.A.A.R.K. Foundation on the Club’s behalf.  If a club wishes, they can collect their chains throughout the season and bring them to World’s or send them with a representative of that club as opposed to sending them to BAARK after each event; which would allow clubs to create caring chains at all club functions outside of an event where there would be an event package returning to the DockDogs office.
Below are the available colors of the links, please make sure to indicate the qty’s and colors for your order:
  • Berry (purple)
  • Neon Blue
  • Neon Red
  • Neon Green
  • Neon Yellow
  • Neon Orange
  • Neon Pink
  • Silver

Please order in lots of 25.  You can mix & match the colors for every 25 ordered, make sure to order sooner than later to get the colors of your choice while they last.

Happy Jumpin’

DockDogs® is pleased to announce the addition of 5 Regional Reps to the Affiliate support program throughout United States and Canada

This past weekend closed out the 9th annual DockDogs® Rules Committee meetings. Representatives from around the world come together to review, discuss, and institute new rules on behalf of the DockDogs® Worldwide community.

As one of many major initiatives resulting from this years meeting, the expansion and addition of 5 new Regional representatives to oversee the daily activity within the DockDogs® Affiliated Clubs and Facility Programs have been added.

“Under the Director of Affiliates for DockDogs® Worldwide, Vicki Tighe, these Regional Reps. volunteer their time to help guide both existing and new clubs in their activities both on and off the dock.” comments Grant Reeves, CEO of DockDogs Inc.  “They have always been, and will continue to be, a key part of growing the DockDogs® Affiliate program worldwide. Each one also plays an essential part in the maintenance and communication of the ongoing activities.  With interest growing daily from people and groups wanting, and in some cases waiting to affiliate with our organization, we are thankful that these new volunteers have accepted our request to step into their roles.”

The regions have been updated and defined as follows:

  • Northwest Regional Representative: Heather Ratynski
  • Southwest Regional Representative: Randy Hettich
  • North Central Regional Representative: Cindy Cowherd
  • South Central Regional Representative: Betsy Taylor
  • North Eastern Regional Rep: Todd Brayne
  • South Eastern Regional Rep: Joan Gunby

  • Eastern Canada Regional Representative: Mike Chiasson
  • Western Canada Region Representative:  Mike Chiasson

While the representatives will work hand in hand with each other; anyone from within the Affiliate Club and Sanctioned Facility Program can reach out to them for input, advice, and suggestions. These individuals are well versed in the start up, operations, and ongoing growth activity of Affiliated Clubs with DockDogs® Worldwide.
