The famous DockDogs® Iron Dog championships have found a perfect home for the inaugural “made for TV” production. This year, the competition will be a part of Nevada Wild Fest at the dog-friendly Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Dog lovers can watch as the six top-ranked canine teams from east and west of the Mississippi battle in all three DockDogs®disciplines, Big Air, Speed Retrieve and Extreme Vertical. The highly-trained dogs and handlers on each team will push their training and abilities to the limit as they jump, run and retrieve to win the coveted title and earn the bragging rights to be named the “Best of the Best Iron Dog.” Fans are welcome at pool and dockside to cheer them on and to bring their own dogs for the regular DockDogs®
competitions that will take place each day of the Nevada Wild Fest. The Iron Dog portion of the Competition is even being filmed as a one-hour television special that will run on Outdoor Channel.nbsp Now, for the first time, attendees who have dogs of their own can take advantage of Caesars Entertainment’s innovative PetStay program, which is in effect at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
Caesars Entertainment’s PetStay program offers dog-friendly accommodations, amenities and experiences at eight of its Las Vegas resorts. PetStay guests and their pups receive in-room amenities that include dog treats, food and water dishes and a pet mat along with a map of dog-walking routes, on-property designated relief areas and a list of dog-friendly resources for pet walking, pet sitting, grooming services and veterinarian information. As part of the PetStay program, each resort offers floors and areas throughout the property that are designated as pet-friendly zones. Dogs must weigh 50 pounds or less and be present at the time of check-in.nbsp Dogs are permitted to walk through designated common areas while on a leash and accompanied by the owner and pets left unattended in a guest room are required to be crated.
