DockDogs® is committed to supporting the youth in our community, as they are our future. To this end the DockDogs® Youth Recognition Committee was established in 2019 to recognize our Youth Handlers. Simply click on the appropriate link to submit a form. The eligibility information may be downloaded below.

Please note: Since the application form can not be submitted until all required fields and attachments (report card and 2 letters of reference from non family members) are completed, you may want to draft your responses in a separate document and copy/paste into the form when you are ready to submit your application with all of the required documentation.

Thank you for being an incredible Youth Handler within the DockDogs® community.  Please see the below requirements:

Outstanding Youth

Open to Youths age 12 and under.

  • This award will be presented at the Golden Paws Gala. Winner will receive $500 (non-expiring) DockDogs Credits.

Outstanding Teen

Open to Youths age 13-18.

  • This award will be presented at the Golden Paws Gala. Winner will receive $1,000 scholarship.

This 2025 season, the Youth Committee will be working hard to raise funds for the scholarship program through 50/50 raffles at dockdogs events, so be on the lookout for youth handlers and committee members at your next event!
