BARK AT NOAH’S ARK 1ST ANNUAL FUNDRAISER

1st ANNUAL FUNDRAISER EVENT

BARK AT NOAH’S ARK IS A GREAT SUCCESS!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Goldston, NC – May 17, 2017: DockDogs® Worldwide and the Board of the Noah’s Ark Trust Fund are proud to announce the results of the very successful 1st annual Bark at Noah’s Ark!

The first Annual Bark at Noah’s Ark was a successful event that drew competitors from across the country, culminating in a fierce Double Header Wildcard that had over 500 entries combined between Big Air®, Speed Retrieve®, Extreme Vertical®, and Iron Dog™, and included the new and popular Dueling Dogs™. The event also hosted the Saturday night feature with a new Guinness World Record being set in Speed Retrieve® by Crystal McClaran and Bo Nose with a laser speed time of 5.017 seconds

The event was initially announced by Grant Reeves, CEO of DockDogs® Worldwide, during the Golden Paw Awards at the World Championships in Dubuque, Iowa back in 2016. This event was set up as a fundraiser for Baby Noah, the grandson of longtime competitor and DockDogs® Hall of Famer Jay Harris and his lovely wife Deb.  Baby Noah has been battling complications after being born as a premature baby at 26 weeks.  Noah reminds us all and continues to show the DockDogs® community every day what a big heart he has and what a strong will he brings to the world.   In just 21 months, Baby Noah has gone from fighting for his life, to a little energetic bundle of joy who melts the heart of everyone he meets.

Jay and Deb and the Harris Family have taken on a tenuous task of raising Noah and with the success of the 1st event, everyone in attendance are excited to see that this will be annual fundraiser gathering.  The net proceeds from the event each year are being directed to the established trust fund, managed by 5 independent Board Members, and is set up to protect and help Noah’s future health, quality of life, and any special educational needs he may encounter.

A special event committee was formed by Laurie Uebelhoer, Timothy Lake, Jay Harris, Melanie Kernor and Sara Anderson, all members of Carolina DockDogs, to establish and extend annual fundraising efforts through an online Silent Auction, T-Shirts, A 50/50 Raffle, a Sunday Morning Social Breakfast, and Vendors on-site. Our sincere gratitude to each of you for a job well done in year 1, and to all who came out to support this fundraiser, thank you and we look forward to seeing you and many more of your family and friends next year. MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR APRIL 19-22, 2018, FOR THE 2ND ANNUAL BARK AT NOAH’S ARK!!!

The Board is proud to announce that through the support of the DockDogs® Community and local area residence support, the first annual Bark At Noah’s Ark raised $5,791.00 dollars that will set the goal for even more support in the future of the Noah’s Ark Trust Fund.

We would like to thank Kristy and Mark Oldham, Chewys BBQ, Rolling Bistro, Dr. Sue Campeau from Campeau Chiropractic, and LulaRoe, for their contributions in making Bark at Noah’s Ark a very successful event.
