Wow, this is an absolutely jam packed episode! We have a lot to share in this episode so be sure to sit down and enjoy the show. In this episode Jim Zelasko finally gets a chance to sit down with Tina McLaughlin, Executive Director of The B.A.A.R.K. Foundation, to hear all about the incredible assistance they’ve been able to provide and how they can use the communities help too! The B.A.A.R.K. Foundation is what I prefer to refer to as For DockDogs, By DockDogs; a resource for those DockDogs competitors that are in dire straits due to illness, injury, catastrophic events and other devastations that come upon you. Whether it be a fire that burns your house or training facility down, your dog coming down with Cancer and you cannot afford the bills to treat him / her, and so many more B.A.A.R.K. has been and will continue to be there to lend a hand or paw to you in your time of need. With that said The B.A.A.R.K. Foundation can only be there to help you or your fellow competitor(s) in your time of despair with the help of donations and every dollar counts. GOLDEN PAW AWARDS GALA – B.A.A.R.K. Foundation Silent Auction
With the Golden Paw Awards Gala open for registration with early bird discounted prices [PDF DOWNLOAD] we’re thrilled to share new ways to get involved! The B.A.A.R.K. Foundation is hosting a Silent Auction as part of the gala festivities and there’s definitely some cool items to bid on that of course support a great cause! We’ve asked that each club donate a basket that represents your club. Whether it’s items from your sponsor(s), drawings / paintings from members, photo donations from a photographer that is attending the World Championships, sculptures, club merchandise, or any other items that can be auctioned off to support your fellow handlers in their time of need with the assistance of B.A.A.R.K. As part of the Golden Paw Awards Gala we’re ecstatic to showcase the DockDogs Affiliated Clubs as part of a 30 second video submission! If you’ve been around DockDogs long enough you may have seen this as part of the National Championships, we’re happy to bring it back as part of the 1st ever Golden Paw Awards Gala! If you haven’t seen an example of the club videos we’ve included one below for you and your club members to check out for some ideas. Chesapeake DockDogs is based in Maryland and has a great group of members from throughout the state and throughout Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding areas. Chesapeake DockDogs is a longstanding club that was formed in 2006 and is still ran today by canine loving DockDogs enthusiasts! Chesapeake hosts practices often during the warmer months and hosts several events throughout the year!
